[ sometime after it was revealed that gi-gan isn't going to college, stephanie will go and find sharpay, wherever she may be hiding.

when she spots her, steph hesitates for a second before walking over. ]

[She'll find Sharpay lurking in the dining hall since that seems to be the least traffic-ed, least messy area right now. She's expressively unhappy and she eyes the tapestries above, looking over all of the faces of the 37 other people in this castle.

Or. Well. 36.

Upon hearing Steph's voice though she turns and for once it's not an outright snarl. She looks...lost, maybe. It's hard to believe that someone actually played right into the Dragon and the Tiger's hands, but here they are.]

A little better. [Her voice is small and less shriek-y, almost normal for someone her age. She's looking at the tapestries again.] Is it me, or does this all just feel like one big bad dream?

[vigilantics]

I'm still waiting to wake up.

[ she glances up at the tapestries. it's a little much, to think about how any of the people shown there could have done this. there was always the chance that maybe it's a trick done by rihanna and zendaya, but...

they have to keep all the options open. ]

It's definitely not how I was hoping to spend my Friday.

[wantsitall]

[Perfectly manicured nails tap on the tabletop. The tapestries are too unwieldy and too much for her to process all at once. She's uncomfortable, too, that she was moved on her own accord. Sharpay Evans is always in control and to not be is something she wants no part of.]

Can we go back to the festival? Tacky as it was, it was better than this. [Mumbled. But she looks at Steph again this time.] Do you think that means it's true then? This is going to be a thing that happens every week? And better question, who moved me?

[vigilantics]

And why.

[ it's a little obvious that most of the suspicion is going to be thrown on the five people who were found after curfew was lifted. jae-ha is the least likely suspect.

it might be best not to mention that right now. ]

You don't remember anything weird?

[wantsitall]

No, nothing at all. Jae-Ha and I were in our room once curfew was set and I fell asleep there last night. I didn't even feel someone carrying me, and I am not a light sleeper. Something else must have happened to separate us.

[Her eyes narrow.] Unless the Dragon and the Tiger had something to do with it. They did make me a Classic, after all.

[vigilantics]

[ ... she was so caught up in the fact that gi-gan was one that steph didn't realize that both ion and sharpay also were. gi-gan's tapestry was a little more, uh, memorable. ]

It would make sense that they could take people out of their rooms. They were able to teleport people from the festival.

[wantsitall]

True, but how would it be possible to do that without anyone else noticing? Though I suppose they could have taken Jae-Ha and I together and then separated us. But I can't say the same about those other people they found. I would just like to be informed next time anyone tries to teleport me, is that really so much to ask?

[Huff.] That old woman...it was her, right? [The details are a little foggy, but by now she's mostly caught up. Mostly.]

[vigilantics]

Yeah. I've only spoken to her once, at the festival.

[ it wasn't a very long conversation, so stephanie can't say much about her. jae-ha obviously cared a lot about her though.

she's suddenly very, very glad she was brought here alone. ]

It's messed up, to go after an old lady.

[wantsitall]

She danced with me. Or, I mean, she danced while I was dancing at the festival and it actually wasn't terrible. [So it seems so...cheap, maybe. Taking out someone like that.]

It's incredibly messed up. But what do you think that means for the person who killed her? It seems so...wrong.

[vigilantics]

[ it actually took steph a while to get used to the no killing rule of bruce's. she didn't like it at first, because there was definitely people who deserved it, and the system never actually manages to keep them locked up.

she's grown since then. no killing. ]

It makes me wonder what that person couldn't risk losing. And... [ if the person felt like they had no other choice, she could potentially see why they'd go after gi-gan. she's lived her life, unlike all of the fourteen year olds running away.

it's still messed up, but there is some logic there. ]

They might just not have wanted to kill someone young.

[wantsitall]

Does that make it any better though? It's still a death no matter the age...but I suppose it could be a little more understandable when you put it that way. If there was some kind of risk like that. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

[vigilantics]

I don't think it makes it any better, but... trying to figure out the logic behind someone's actions might make it easier to find out who did it.

[wantsitall]

I don't even know where you would start. It's not like we've all had time to get to know each other and become buddy-buddy enough to know what people count as logical.

[vigilantics]

That's true. Still, even if you don't know someone else, sometimes you can tell when something seems off.

[ it's how she gets stuff done back home, after all. ]

[wantsitall]

[...squint.] Are you some kind of detective or something?

[vigilantics]

It is technically part of my job description?

[wantsitall]

And the other parts? [Is Stephanie someone she should worry about in the future? It's good to cover her bases.]

[vigilantics]

[ i can't believe sharpay was going to have to murder steph after this ]

I'm... a vigilante? Another term from back home would be superhero but that's a little awkward to use. I usually just fight criminals.

[wantsitall]

[Look, sometimes you gotta =\]

I never knew those were...real. [Hm.] It's usually just in movies and stuff. And fighting criminals means knowing their motivations. Are you good at it? Like...really good.

[vigilantics]

[ ... interesting question, and if this wasn't backtagging steph would probably think that is a weird thing to ask, but as it is now, she'll just think sharpay is curious. ]

I... guess so. Yeah.

[wantsitall]

[There's a smile.]

It'll be good to have you around then. [And also yeah Sharpay will be well aware to not alert Steph to anything shady.] We'll need it in order to bring justice for Gi-gan.

[vigilantics]

Whatever justice means here, anyway.

[ it's not going to be jail time. ]

[wantsitall]

I'm sure the Tiger and the Dragon have it figured out. [She looks confident but she seems a little worried all the same.] ...I should make sure Jae-Ha's alright.

[vigilantics]

... yeah.

He'll need that.
