that is, she is walking towards the cabins when she sees zenitsu. if it wasn't for the fact that he was being horribly bullied earlier, she'd probably just wave and move on but. she approaches. ]

[ there are plenty of people he interacts with at trial whom he doesn't engage on a regular basis at the camp, so he's surprised when steph actually approaches.

by now his tears have dried up. that's natural, given how profusely he cried afterward. ]

We did, and he continues to be unhelpful.

Maybe he'll say something if you talk to him in private.

[ he did keep emphasizing that he didn't want to publicize the truth. ]

Forcing someone like Natalie to talk to him in private to get an answer is kind of messed up.

Yes, except they kept going even after it was obvious that Lili was wrong.

[ she thinks that lili's theory in general was stupid since lili didn't ask people who actually knew zenitsu first, but still. ]

After? But they stopped once I started crying.

Her comment was that you were subdued-- so like, that you weren't being loud or anything, not specifically just about whether you could cry or not.

I'm usually loud. I even promised her that I'd be quiet around Ookurikara, but I end up shouting anyway. It's no wonder she suspected me.

[ she sighs, shaking her head. ]

How did you know that she was wrong before anything happened?

She should have asked people who actually know you first.

She can be a little abrasive, but she means well.

Though I wish we could stop talking about burning this place down . . . This is the Directors' home, too.

I know. I'm not mad at her, we just... need to be a little more careful with our accusations.

[ they may have gotten it right today but they did scapegoat twice a week.

They don't mean it literally. We talked about burning down the castle a lot, and it's completely fine.
