[ unsurprisingly, stephanie is in her room.

it's a couple of hours after execution and she's awake. thankfully, waver's healing made it so that she isn't actually in a lot of pain. ironically, this has been the most pain free she's been in for a while.

her door has been left wide open because she assumes people are gonna want to talk to her. hey veronica. ]

[ it's a joke, but she sounds fairly exhausted while saying it. ]

[Wordlessly, she closes the door behind her before moving over to where Stephanie's resting. The bottle of wine is getting laid down next to her, if she wants to take a swig.]

How, um... I'm assuming the answer is "bad," but how are you feeling?

... I'm just glad they didn't go for the other leg.

[ she can manage like this. it'll be hard, but she's already used to using crutches at this point and not putting weight on her broken leg, so she'll just have to learn how to walk with only one. however long that takes. ]

... There has to be something we can do for you.

[About the leg, she means. In a place where getting murdered is a very real possibility, missing one of your legs is a huge disadvantage.]

More people are getting wishes after finishing their objectives. And... it doesn't sound like it's the dangerous crap from a couple of weeks ago. So, maybe... [Someone get Steph a peg leg.]

I doubt they'd give me a whole new leg, but...

[ yes. maybe a peg leg. ]

I wouldn't want to ask anyone to waste theirs on me.

... If you don't feel comfortable letting someone else use their wish, you could get a coin yourself. Have you been working on your objective?

It's not kill at least, but-- it sure ain't kissing.

[monika should have shared some of that luck before dying. :/]

Why are there so many objectives like that? God.

I really wish I knew!

[ she's exasperated. ]

I don't get why some are so much more tame in comparison too.

[ there's a pause before she reaches for the bottle. ]

[let's assume she brought some cups with her as well because—]

Sure, if you don't mind sharing.

It'll be a little depressing if I drank by myself.

[ it's already depressing enough. ]

[AND ALSO SAD. Anyway, she's going to get those cups out so they can actually drink some booze.]
