I don't care about that. [ and it's genuine-- Varian was annoyed, but people are condescending to him more often than not. he's used to it. ] But you knew he was going to reveal himself before I ever knew about you, and you were okay with that.

[ he laughs a bit, but it's humorless ]

I was so stupid. I kept going to you with info, trying to-- and you probably already knew all of it.

I didn't. You did tell me a lot of new stuff, and your information helped us figure out other things we weren't sure about. If I didn't think you were helpful then I wouldn't have accepted that invite.

[ although she knows that is something that's difficult to prove, so she'll move on. ]

Belph just really didn't want me to reveal myself. Especially since with all the injuries I'd make an easier target. And there wasn't really anyone who I had a strong inclination to tell in the past... but I felt bad lying to you. So I decided I didn't want to lie anymore, so here I am.

[ he sighs a bit, staring at the counter. He still feels ... stupid. But. ]

[ she just feels... bad, for disappointing him. one of the reasons she even decided she needed to tell him was because she realized he would probably take it really badly otherwise. ]

[ okay well thats distracting enough in the "tries to hide that he's blushing" way and just. lets out one nervous laugh. ]

Oh... yeah. I don't think Akechi ever actually asked him if there were more than one Vizier? So Belph just never had a reason to mention there was a second one. And then the numbers got revealed so I... guess he just assumed we didn't know each other instead of Belph was protecting my identity?

The assumptions wouldn't be as bad if he didn't go and... tell other people... those assumptions...

Oh. Um. If I'm honest, I just wanted to know how it actually worked?

Well... every week we have to choose one person to check. We find out what faction they are, if they have a role, and if they can travel to any place that we can't.

For the role, we don't know which one it is, which is why Belph has to go and talk to them himself to figure it out.

Oh. That makes a lot more sense. [ hm ] But... "If they can travel to any place we can't"?

[ that's. oddly specific. ]

Our meetings take place in a throne room. So far we haven't run into anyone who has access to a room we don't though, so I'm not sure if that means other roles also use the throne room or if we're the only ones.

[ ... ! ]

Oh. Can you tell if it's Tiger's or Dragon's? The Editors might have access to the other one.

I'm not sure. I was thinking that maybe it's for Blotters? Maybe for a week they're chosen they get to go to some other room, but--

[ wait.

why don't they just ask akechi........ ]

No, I mean-- Beauty, Hiro, he killed Tiger in a throne room. You're the one who told me about that. So he must have had access to it somehow, right?

[ she blinks. ]

It could have been the same one. I think that... it's more likely that both of them would have been there though? They both show up in our meetings. But the idea that he managed to kill her with Dragon in the room is...

Right... [ well. he may as well admit this: ] If you ever want to talk with Tiger or Dragon privately during the week, that throne room shows up.

Hm. So he asked for a meeting with her.

We could always ask Akechi if the Blotters met in a special room? Or, well. I could.
