Hannibal Lecter was the Deputy in my last game. [let's pretend they don't know who tf hannibal lecter is even though they should] The one I had to kill to end it. He was a cannibal, but he was a sociopath.
We treated him like our physician for weeks because he was calm, and charismatic, and collected. He didn't mind helping others. He gave sound advice. No one would have assumed he was the Deputy.

But what I mean is... this is going to sound like bragging, but Belph and I were pretty good at the Vizier thing? We found out who everyone was, down to their titles, powers, and who had extra roles, and a lot of that had nothing to do with our role as Viziers. We just watched people interact with each other, and to the situation at large, and from there we could make pretty accurate guesses.

So, yeah, we can't trust people based on face value. But that doesn't mean they won't still drop hints.

That sounds fine and well, Brown, but don't bank on your former skill with a group of veterans. It isn't going to hurt to keep an eye on everyone when they are congregating in public. The four of us are going to do that anyway, I assume.

Yeah. At the very least, most of us being from different places means we already have an idea of what some of the people here are like. We can try to keep tabs on any obvious changes in behavior.
